end of summer

so, it's almost time for school to begin again. the summer has gone by so quickly, as it always does. i'm trying to get mentally ready for school, but it's not working so well. really i just don't want to redo all my lessons to fit the new curriculum. I don't even know if that can be done.

currently i am watching a woodworking show on npt. i love it.

i've made some new jewelry that i need to get up on my etsy, but i'm just lazy i guess. i'll get 'em up sometime soon. the items i have up there now are going to expire in september, so if you have your eye on something pick it up now :)

it's about time

School is finally out. I thought it would never come. I've added a couple things to the store. Right now I'm working on a compilation for my brother. I always make him a cd for Christmas and his birthday. Currently I'm listening to Matthew Ryan vs the Silver State trying to pick one song for the comp. It's incredibly difficult to do so. I saw him in concert one week ago to give him the bracelet I made for him. He says that it is "genuinely beautiful". It was such a great show.

it's been an interesting day

One week on Etsy and one sale. I'm feelin' pretty good about it. I've been making some stuff. I want to make a purse or two, but that is a bit more work than making the jewelry. I will though...I'm itchin' to work with some fabric. I did get a handy little tool that helps create beautiful consistent knots. So, I've been stringing stuff lately. Here's some of the stuff I've been working on...they'll get up on my etsy sometime soon.

counting down the days

so, i still haven't put up anything on my etsy. i have been making things however. a few pairs of earrings, a couple necklaces, as well as these fantastic owls and lion...




i've had an amazing couple of weeks. a really good friend came to visit and see nashville for the first time. we went all over the place and still didn't see everything that needs to be seen. i took a couple of personal days, but still had to take a sick day because i was just so exhausted.

the last day of school is the 22nd, and it's a half day. half days are so very useless. one in-service, one workshop, two days for field day, and a day in the gym all cut from the countdown which leaves 15.5 days with kids.

today was the day

So, the craft fair was today. It was fun, but i'm so very tired now. It was quite warm and sunny today which brought many people out to the fair. I was pleasantly surprised to have been visited by all my friends today. My covered button earrings were a hit and most of what I sold. Everybody loved the owls, but none were adopted :) I'm not sure if we will be doing the fair next month. If we do, I will make smaller owls and turn them into pins. I didn't bring my owl band with me today because I've become very attached to them. I plan to get my etsy store up and running soon.
