counting down the days

so, i still haven't put up anything on my etsy. i have been making things however. a few pairs of earrings, a couple necklaces, as well as these fantastic owls and lion...




i've had an amazing couple of weeks. a really good friend came to visit and see nashville for the first time. we went all over the place and still didn't see everything that needs to be seen. i took a couple of personal days, but still had to take a sick day because i was just so exhausted.

the last day of school is the 22nd, and it's a half day. half days are so very useless. one in-service, one workshop, two days for field day, and a day in the gym all cut from the countdown which leaves 15.5 days with kids.

today was the day

So, the craft fair was today. It was fun, but i'm so very tired now. It was quite warm and sunny today which brought many people out to the fair. I was pleasantly surprised to have been visited by all my friends today. My covered button earrings were a hit and most of what I sold. Everybody loved the owls, but none were adopted :) I'm not sure if we will be doing the fair next month. If we do, I will make smaller owls and turn them into pins. I didn't bring my owl band with me today because I've become very attached to them. I plan to get my etsy store up and running soon. one more week

so, the craft fair is next sunday. i've been working hard getting stuff ready. i took some pictures, but the light isn't so great. Here they are anyway. maybe i'll take new ones tomorrow.

the time has come

well, spring break is almost over. i don't want to go back to work, but there's only a couple months or so of school left...not too bad. this is what i've made so far this week. i could have made more, but there was a lot of shopping done with my mom. when i get home i will be cleaning out my closets.



today we went to beckham's barn. it's a rock shop. so many gorgeous things there. i bought some freshwater pearl beads and some mookite beads. so fantastic. then we went antiquing and i bought some old buttons.



something very awesome....i figured out how to get a ringtone of heaven on my phone. if you call and i don't answer it could be that i'm just listening to the best song ever play over and over. actually it's just a snippet. the whole song was too big.

i know, i know

this isn't a craft related post. but i got a new phone and i'm very excited about it. it's one of these. it's just so pretty. and it does so much more than my last phone.




i have done some crafting, but i'll have to take pictures later. it's time to get ready for my day.

spring break

i'm so glad it's finally spring break. i expect to get a lot of things done this week. what i'm most excited about however, is my hair appointment on tuesday. it's been a long time since i got my hair cut, so it's definitely time. here are a few more things i'll try to sell at the craft fair:



i'm not terribly satisfied with how the owl came out. the fleece doesn't do what the felt does. it's a bit more stretchy. another owl is in the works. i've got all the pieces cut, it just needs to be sewn and stuffed.
