It's TCAP week at school and our schedule is all messed up.

I finished these purses last night and tried to take pictures right away, but the light was horrible. So, here they are. I'm quite pleased with how they turned out.







And here is another embroidery of a song lyric. This time it's from "Lorraine" by Rosie Thomas.

Sunday

I've had a busy couple of days....long anyway. I am tired and in need of a nap :)

I went out yesterday with my friend Amanda and purchased a couple of frames for the embroideries I recently finished. The second is a lyric from Matthew Ryan, one of my favorite musicians, and he happens to live right here in Nashville.



I also got a hoop, painted it blue, and fixed this little guy up:


This afternoon, I went back to JoAnn's and bought a brand new sewing machine. I'm so excited, but haven't tried it out yet.

A few weeks ago I stumbled upon Chris Piascik's blog and was inspired to take some of my favorite song lyrics and make them look pretty. Here are a few examples from my "coloring book". They come from Aaron Sprinkle, Sunny Day Real Estate, Rosie Thomas, and Jaymay.






Then I thought it would look awesome to take one and do an embroidery. I think I was right.

Today started way too early with a 9 mile run at 7:45. It was so cold out then, but since then, the day as become warm and gorgeous. We (Jenn, Yurry, and I) finished in 2 hours and 15 minutes 'round about. I did something to my left ankle and now it's mad at me. I haven't updated much lately because school is back in session and I don't get to do much of my own thing. When I get home I'm so exhausted that I sit and draw/color. I will share some more of my coloring book pages later when I finally find a scanner. Last night I started another embroidery. So far I only have the 'M' outlined but I plan on some french knots and a few other things.





Now, go out and enjoy the fantastic weather!!

A quick one

So, it's my bedtime. Gotta be back at school tomorrow. It shouldn't be too bad, but Tuesday will be.

Anyway, I updated the shop with the new earrings.

Finally finished

While waiting for my running partner to arrive, I decided to finish up those earrings.

While my hair color was processing this morning,

I decided to move ahead with the jewelry I started at the beginning of the week. I have sealed both sides of the pieces and now it is time to glue on posts or drill holes for the wire.
